Cheap Packing Boxes
Pay particular attention to this advice - you'll require plenty of cheap packing boxes and having enough boxes and moving supplies is the key to get packed and ready to move. Set aside about 12 cheap packing boxes for up to the last minute items that need to be packed such as bedding, clothing and cleaning products. Keep a roll of packing tape handy to seal the boxes and secure any last minute notes on the boxes. Keep packing paper and bubble rolls handy to wrap any last minute fragile items such as dishes from last nights supper. If you have boxes left after you're packed up and ready to move you may use them to store products in the garage or attic.
Take Inventory of Household Items
Write every little thing down! You'll be thankful in the future. Before you decide to load up even a single box, develop an easy inventory system. In an excel document generate a listing of numbers using a space to write down the items you are packing in the box. Keep a notebook on hand to jot down the numbers to enter into your computer list. Number every box as you pack to coordinate with your typed inventory worksheet. When the box is packed seal the box with tape and place a room label and any other label that would be appropriate such as a fragile label.
